Music Coach Educator Series Launched

Charanga is pleased to announce the launch of its Music Coach educator series, a range of PC software comprising Guitar Coach, Piano Coach, and Keyboard Coach.
Customers of PC World, W H Smiths and leading US software stores will already be familiar with these products in their consumer guise. Since Charanga launched their first Guitar Coach software in 1997 it has received glowing endorsements, and won many prestigious awards. With over one million modules sold to date it has a proven track record in helping many thousands of people learn to play.
Charanga have responded to requests from educators to develop these products for use in a school setting and are pleased to announce the launch of the educator series at BETT 2005 in January.
Aimed at Key Stages 3 and 4, Guitar Coach, Piano Coach, and Keyboard Coach can be a very useful addition to school music departments. The software can allow specialist instrumental teachers to reduce contact time with individual students who then use the Music Coach software to help with day to day playing and practising. Equally, Music Coach software can provide a self-study alternative in situations where students wish to learn guitar, keyboard, or piano without embarking on a formal program of lessons, perhaps to learn a second instrument or to simply get to grips with one of these instruments to help with composition. The growth of after-school clubs and other informal learning settings are further areas where high quality software like this can make a valuable contribution.
Music Coach software combines interactive multimedia technology with proven teaching methodology to provide a learning environment that encourages and supports every step of the way. Importantly, it’s also great fun to use. Practising becomes playing and students have constant reference to video, animated instruments, real audio and MIDI backing tracks, looping and recording features which keeps them on course. All of this is wrapped in an easy to use interface that encourages students to play and play.
